The thunder clapped all around a moment after the lightening lit up the valley below, the entire heavens playing on a high end stereo system. The aroma of the drops of the rain hitting soil seeped into the very soul. A sudden flicker and the lights went out.

A soft gasp remimnded him she was scared of the fireworks of the Gods. Bringing her over to a large window, they settled down, him on a couch and her on his lap, his hands wrapped around her shapely waist as if to soothe her nerves.

Gradually losing themselves to nature, she felt her fears dissolve in the rain, one tiny speck at a time. Nuzzling close to her neck, he drifted off, realising they could not have asked for a better break from the monotony of life…

What a lovely post Sudersan. This one moment you describe is so beautiful – it is calm, composed, strong, and extremely attractive! I can almost hear the pitter-patter of the raindrops and the sound of their breaths…first nervous, then more in sync as they slip away into that peaceful moment. Loved this piece!
