Perspectives…

As the blade scythed through the sheet of air, someone unknown, looked up from the coast of the black sea wondering if they could get on that bird, escape into an unknown land that would promise so much for the morrow… escape from the chocolate brown hills that they ve been seeing forever, so much…

Time they say, changes anything… Here stand some colourful buildings seemingly distant from reality, gazing lazily into the bay beyond… They however, stand testimony to Time, and what it can do in shaping the place, the people and everything around it… #bryggen

As much as we like to believe we are, and have always been important, there exists a world, around every one of us that functions without us…. Better still, it doesn’t know we exist. Maybe it’s time we thought less about us and more around us…..

They said it was ruins… They also said it was once a magnificent city.. They however, did not see life it contained within…….

A random night on a random street with its myriad lights…..

a bit beyond……

At times, it is rewarding to go a trifle bit beyond what the tour guide book says, even if its a few steps…

It is the journey…

Sometimes, the urge to get to the destinations is so overpowering, that it blinds us to the beauty that lies along the way… If only we made the time to just stop and stare; relish the journey, than rush along to the end; to unravel what it has in store would we realise how much…

Loud silence…

They say the ones that know the most are the quietest… Here is a mute spectator, standing its ground for over 1300 years, witnessing the vagaries of nature, and of the people; its wind weathered sculptures, a testimony to time itself….! Sometimes, silence is loud…..  

Hope… Courage… Life…

They said the place closed at 5! They said it got just too dark to be around thereafter. They said it was dangerous. They said it was the land’s end.  It sure seemed to be the land’s end. The canyon so vast and deep made a rumbling river sound no more than a meek trickle….

A blissful calm, a soothing ray of light reflecting off the sparkling water, the tall gentle slopes around belying the fact that the very foot of the slopes themselves lie at about 13000 feet above the sea level.
